If You Are Crisis

A crisis is any situation where an individual feels overwhelmed and unable to cope with their emotions or circumstances. Crises can be triggered by various events or conditions, including intense feelings of sadness, anxiety, or anger that feel unmanageable; severe mental health symptoms like panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, or psychotic episodes; unexpected life events such as the loss of a loved one, job loss, or experiencing a traumatic event; conflicts in relationships such as breakups, divorce, or domestic violence; and sudden physical illness or injury impacting mental well-being. Recognizing a crisis is crucial, with signs including feelings of hopelessness or helplessness, thoughts of self-harm or suicide, extreme anxiety or panic, uncontrollable anger or rage, severe withdrawal from social interactions, inability to perform daily activities, and experiencing traumatic events or flashbacks.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, it's important to seek help immediately. Call 911 for emergencies that require immediate intervention.
